Time Zone Converter

The sun never sets on global business. Convert time between any zones instantly and never accidentally schedule a 3am meeting again.

*Time zone offsets calculate standard/daylight savings based on the selected date. Offsets are approximate and browser-dependent.

The Global Coordination Challenge

In a world where your developer is in India, your designer is in London, and your client is in San Francisco, time zones are the invisible barrier to productivity. "Let's meet at 2pm" means nothing without context.

Our Time Zone Converter eliminates the mental math. No more counting on your fingers or Googling "EST to PST." Just instant, accurate conversions that account for Daylight Saving Time automatically.

Understanding Time Zones

The world is divided into 24 primary time zones, each roughly 15 degrees of longitude apart (360° ÷ 24 hours = 15°). However, political boundaries create irregularities—some countries use half-hour or even 45-minute offsets.

Standard Time Zones

EST/EDT: Eastern (UTC-5/-4)
CST/CDT: Central (UTC-6/-5)
MST/MDT: Mountain (UTC-7/-6)
PST/PDT: Pacific (UTC-8/-7)

Unusual Offsets

India: UTC+5:30 (half-hour)
Nepal: UTC+5:45 (45-minute)
Australia: Multiple zones with DST variations

Remote Teams

Schedule stand-ups that work for everyone. Find the overlap hours when your team in Manila and your team in New York are both awake.

International Travel

Know what time you'll land before you board. "My flight arrives at 11pm Tokyo time" translates to "9am tomorrow in New York."

Live Events

Watching a sports game or product launch? Convert the broadcast time to your local zone so you don't miss it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between EST and EDT?

EST (Eastern Standard Time) is used in winter (UTC-5). EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) is used in summer (UTC-4). The "D" stands for Daylight Saving Time.

Why doesn't Arizona observe DST?

Arizona (except the Navajo Nation) stays on MST year-round. They opted out of DST in 1968 because extra evening sunlight in the desert summer was seen as a burden, not a benefit.

Can I convert historical dates?

Yes, but be aware that DST rules have changed over time. The current US DST schedule (March-November) only started in 2007. Historical conversions may be slightly off.

What about military time?

Military time uses 24-hour format (e.g., 1400 instead of 2pm) and typically references Zulu time (UTC). This eliminates AM/PM confusion entirely.
